Shaun Cusick Senior Modeler/Sculptor
Born and raised on Long Island, New York and has always enjoyed drawing and sculpting animals, monsters and aliens. Graduated from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He freelanced for quite a few years as a sculptor and model maker for animation and miniature effects film studios before joining the Blue Sky team over 12 years ago. He has been Lead Character Modeler on several films including one that is currently in production.

Maria Lee
Born in Hong Kong, Maria Lee emigrated to the US as a young girl. Her ability to draw was a great way to deal with the culture shock. Her artistic ability earned her a full scholarship to New York's School of Visual Arts where she studied Illustration. After graduating, she went on to work in advertising and graphic design for the next 10 years. Her passion for art led her to pursue an MFA in computer art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and thereafter into the 3D world of video games and computer animation. has worked as a digital painter at Pixar Studios since 2005. Outside work, MariaMaria enjoys painting from life and spending time with her four-year-old daughter.

Bo Kaap 1 and Bo Kaap 2
They are collaged pieces from magazine, paper, and painted watercolors. The piece is based on a neighborhood in Cape Town South Africa in 2000. I was struck how the homes in that area were painted the most amazing vibrant hues. It always stuck with me and taught me to not be so intimidated by the use of such vibrant colors. I wished that I could live in one of those homes. The area is also one of the more culturally diverse neighborhoods in already one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.
